Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 7th June 2022

Just the first sailing today, with all other sailings cancelled, due to wind. That goes pretty much right through the week, with Saturday looking fifty fifty. We will catch a break soon. Summer always seems to turn up at some point. This morning it was my pleasure to welcome back the guys from Compass Homecare, on a teambuilding exercise. Except two of the team saw the rain, and decided they didnt like fishing that much. I cant blame them. It was pretty grim. Which left Sandra and Luke to do the fishing.

And for the first time in a long time, it was really good bassing. A slow start, but when we tumbled on a shoal that was riding high in the water, we were able to stay with it, and topwaters were the way forward. The Axia Glide really earned its place onboard today, with no less than thirty nine fish, and at least thirty were off the top. Sizes went from small to medium, the biggest perhaps just 3lb. Had anyone been taking for the table, there were fish to be taken, but Sandra and Luke are serial releasers. But great, if damp, fishing for June, and two happy anglers glad they had made the effort.
