Nearly forgot to write up this day. Which would have been a shame, as it was a great day. First sailing, with the full ebb tide, I was joined by Kirsty and Dima, new to BIF1, plus regulars Ian and Loz. Fish were really everywhere so the hunting was for quality rather than action.
And the quality came fast and furious. Max kill of 8 fish were achieved quickly, and many more of the 26 bass landed were of table plus quality.. Biggest likely approaching the 7lb mark. Fantastic fishing.
2nd sailing and more of my lovely people. I really am the luckiest guy. I am not sure any other service industry is gifted with customers you just want to take home for tea. Misha, his lad Sasha, and Sashas cousin Daniel, plus a late entry, young Maggie, all returnee's other than Daniel, who is on a two week holiday from his home in the U.S.A.
Sadly though, the wind was against us. We held out for two hours but fishing was affected and I abandoned at cost of fuel. A real shame. We did manage 3 table fish, but compared to earlier, I preferred the guys saved their money and bring it to me another time. Still, great company and banter. A great day.
