Its on the horizon. The end of this run of wonderfully settled and crystal clears. Mountainous seas will once again be upon us next week, to remind us that this England, and not Goa, after all. Well, that and the chill that has most certainly finally arrived. Although I write this after giving my lawn its second cut this November so far from a real winter.
It means we have to make the most of it, and I certainly am. As were three keen rods from my Fishyrob Guided shore fishing Whatsapp group this morning. I promised them the best shore lure fishing they would have in 2024. And that is pretty much how it went. Really great fun. Even a bonus wrasse in the mix. Then onto the boat to take Ian and Jason, who had booked the boat themselves, out into the autumnal bounty.
Started well, and then was OK. Certainly plenty of action, lots of missed fish, dropped fish. And landed fish. Maximum kill of 4 achieved with the first four fish to give an idea of quality, and 13 the final tally. None too shabby for 3 rods in 3 hours. Plus of course, ten minutes with the jig at the end, for starters, of six squid. A great day. That hasnt finished. We have a flood tide into dusk. And I have a session advertised in the group, that has just had its first taker. More bass will be going on hooks this evening. If you would like to be a part of that group, with bait sessions likely on these stormy days that are brewing, message 07970 112774 with YOUR FULL NAME and the word SHORE.
