Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 11th April 2025

You may have been wondering why, with such calm seas, there have been no catch reports from BIF1. Sadly, when she was hauled out for her latest 100 hour survey, it was discovered she had a cracked head. Happily, thanks to the commitment of my engineer Chris from Coastline Marine Ltd, the part is already replaced and she was relaunched this afternoon. With associated costs (like £117 for half an hour of forklift time!!) thats almost 6k lighter the BIF1 bank account became. And of course, she is launched just in time for the winds to finally return this weekend. However, the quick test run I gave her with friend Clint aboard, showed her skipper is very onto some great fish, and the reason became apparent also, why these bigger fish are congregating where they are congregating. Spaces this coming Tuesday and Wednesday, with a viable forecast. So, check out the availability on the home page here, and then drop a text to 07970 112774 with your name and the slot you require, and lets see if we can get you one. Killing is back on also, with the killing allowed from 42cm to 59cm aboard BIF1. The elderly get returned. (Bass...)
